As mentioned in Part A, AOD workers differ with regard to their roles, education, training, and experience. It is not expected that all AOD workers will be able to address co-occurring conditions to the same extent. It is essential that appropriate supervision be provided to AOD workers working with clients with co-occurring conditions, particularly those with less experience working with mental health conditions [104].
